      The funeral of Mrs. Clara Filer, whose death was reported last week, took place at St. Nicholas Church on Saturday.

      Congratulations are extended to Mr. and Mrs. George Filer, of Little Kimble Lodge, who celebrated their Golden Wedding on Sunday. They were married at St. Barnabus Church, Paddington, on October 3rd, 1887, Queen Victoria's Jubilee Year. Mr. and Mrs. Filer have resided at Kimble for 29 years and Mr. Filer has been associated with Lord Lee, of Fareham, for over 40 years, being head of staff for many years, including the time when his Lordship resided at Chequers, prior to his presenting it to the nation as the home for future Prime Ministers of England.
