On Tuesday last Mr. J. Parrott, coroner, held an inquest at the Crown Inn, on the body of George White. From the evidence of Mrs. White it appeared that deceased, who was twenty-four years of age, was of weakly constitution, and on one occasion had had a fit. He did not seem quite so well as usual lately, although there was no particular ailment apparent, and he had had no medical assistance for years. On Saturday he went out, but did not seem so well when he came home. He was very sadly on Sunday, and complained of pain at his chest. His mother applied a mustard plaister, but he gradually got worse, and died about one o'clock on Monday morning, the 3rd inst. A verdict of "Death from natural causes" was returned.
